OMyWord5 - A Word Game

Each guess must be a valid OMyWord5 word.

Press the Enter button to submit your guess. Press the Backspace button to change your guess before submitting it.

After submitting each guess, the tiles and button colors will change to show how your guess compares to the secret OMyWord5 word.

For example, if the Secret word is BROWN:

Green means the letter is in the word, and in the right spot

Yellow means the letter is in the word, but in the wrong spot

Grey means the letter is not in the word in any spot

About the OMyWord5 Game

OMyWord5 is a web-based word game created and published by OMyWord Games ®.

There are a lot of Guess-the-Secret-Word games available on the internet, and almost all of them limit the number of guesses permited before stopping the game and revealing the Secret word.

After failing to guess the Secret words too many times, some players have become so discouraged that they simply stop playing the game. That's rather sad. Games should be fun.

OMyWord5 was designed to eliminate the possibility of that level of discouragement. It was designed to be fun, for ALL!

While OMyWord5 works just like most of the other web-based word games, it differs in four amazing ways:

1) OMyWord5 permits an unlimited number of guesses - eliminating the kind of discouragement that can result from repeated "failure";

2) After 6 incorrect guesses, OMyWord5 will a) ask if you want to continue guessing, and b) if fewer than 4 of the possible letters in the Secret word have been guessed, will provide an opportunity to request a "hint" providing an additional letter (remember - some letters may appear in the Secret word multiple times).;

3) a button is provided on the 'GameOver' screen to play again with a different Secret OMyWord5 word, selected randomly from all available words (there are over 2000 to select from); and

4) If a player, having solved the game, finds that the Secret word is one that they are unfamiliar with, a button is provided on the Winner's screen that will link to the American Heritage Online Dictionary for that word.
